Identifying and navigating through challenges in day-to-day living is a fundamental component to our clinical philosophy, and part of our strategic program design.
Our Vocational program is not just about financial independency but is a platform to working through the clinical therapeutic goals, established in their treatment plan. Issues arising within the vocational program are processed in both individual and group sessions and becomes part and parcel of the wrap-around program of Onward Living.
Living a full life in recovery is not just about staying away from unhealthy behaviors but about developing the tools to live a productive, meaningful life. Employment is an integral part of building self-autonomy, self-worth and launching a healthy, purpose-driven life.
At Onward Living, we concentrate on facilitating a resident’s ability to work and gain experience to start on a path of financial autonomy as they work on their treatment goals. When one is able to work and obtain that experience that directly correlates to improved self-esteem, emotional well-being, and sense of purpose.
Our residents are provided with vocational training as well as assisted with job placements in local vetted establishments.
